About Us

Zohreh, the owner and the principal designer of ZOZO Jewels received her MA degree in Illustration from the University of Tehran. Nonetheless she has had a hobby that has always kept her company since childhood; a hobby titled "gathering nature's bric-a-brac" in her own words. Small stray objects, distorted stones by erosion, weird-looking seashells or even dried out leaves found their way to her personal collection. After graduation, Zohreh was constantly trying to find a way to put her collection on display. Learning about the jewelry-making gave her a chance to marry up an old hobby with a new pursuit. This pursuit gradually took on significance and turned her into a sublime designer in the realm of jewelry-making.
In all of the ZOZO jewelry pieces, Zohreh's illustration background transparently shines through her creations. She knows well what materials to use and how to combine them to create a one-of-a-kind work of art. And since she cares about the design and the creation of her works, her presence and involvement through the whole process can be easily noticed.
The core roots of ZOZO hand-made jewels originate from the Orient, especially Iran. Although these creations are categorized as jewelry, they are free of any exaggeration or showiness. These are stones, glass, studs, and marbles that are not royal. Their beauty is a result of attention and combination of craftsmanship using some rare and original stones. Therefore, they remind us of the Iranian gypsies' art. For those reasons, ZOZO Jewels are in a class by itself and are more popular amongst artists and celebrities who seek uniqueness.
At ZOZO Jewels, the process of creating a medal, a ring, or a necklace as a project is not a main concern. Each work starts with a sudden inspiration; something that might seem as a preliminary sketch but turns into a sensational piece of melody played by ear.
